The Sensible Land Use Coalition, an organization that promotes urban development, recognized place-making projects around the metro area in seven categories: legacy, new, large, small scale, suburban, urban and contemporary. The awards committee said the winning projects were chosen because of how the public uses them. “They are great places that connect us, they make us feel welcome and safe, they host our memories and our celebrations.” Gale Woods Farm is our 410-acre park in the city of Minnetrista with an educational farm and goods for sale. Silverwood Park in the city of St. Anthony provides green space and an abutting lake, and offers art classes. Read more at Sensible Land Use Coalition’s Great Places Awards.
