Safety Awareness Camp

Untitled.jpgThree Rivers' first Safety Awareness Camp was a huge success! The camp introduces families with members who have special needs to what our parks have to offer, and what happens when things don't go exactly as planned. Campers spend the day learning about how to be safe in the parks, first aid, search and rescue, disc golf, kayaking and fishing. This response really said it all: “My daughter was afraid of most of the activities that took place at camp. She would not step foot in a kayak, she would not touch a fish, and she was always afraid of getting lost on hikes in the woods. SHE DID ALL OF THOSE THINGS AT CAMP!! Thank you for opening some doors for my child and our family!”
