Bikeways through the ‘Burbs

Untitled.pngThree Rivers staff members recently published a fascinating article in the American Society of Landscape Architects Minnesota Chapter’s (ASLA-MN) magazine. “Bikeways through the ‘Burbs” details how we developed our 120 mile regional trail system over the past three decades; a suburban trail system that now serves nearly three million riders every year!

Curious about how our regional trail corridors within Hennepin County Regional Rail Authority (HCRRA) right of way first started? Want to see some vintage photos from the 1970s and ‘80s? Ever wonder how our landscape architects and planners conceptualized the trail connections we know today such as Rush Creek and Medicine Lake Regional Trails?

Then, be sure to check out pages 26 through 29 in this Bikeways through the ‘Burbs article!
