Wednesday, August 6 – Beach Party, Bryant Lake Regional Park, noon–3 p.m. Join naturalists from Richardson Nature Center! Ride a waterslide, try the beach obstacle course, make a craft, and play water games. See live pond critters, birds of prey, and reptiles. Build and decorate a sand castle, and win a cool treat. Drop in anytime.

Saturday, August 9 – Busy as a Bee, Richardson Nature Center, 10–11:30 a.m. Bee fun for the whole family. Safely observe a working hive and what the bees are doing. Hike to the “Bee Tree,” taste some honey, and make a craft to take home. Reservations required. Twenty percent discount for groups of four or more.

Wednesday, August 13 – Rolleo Log Rolling Series, Bryant Lake Regional Park, 6–8 p.m. Bring a picnic, family and friends for an evening “rolleo,” an informal log rolling competition for beginners. Main event is a bracketed log rolling tournament for adults. Key Log Rolling demos will be available for non-competitors to try.

Sunday, August 17 – Sundays in the Garden, Noerenberg Gardens, 1–4 p.m. Spend the afternoon in the gardens. Hennepin County Master Gardeners give tours and answer questions.
